Kia electric vehicle (EV) owners now have access to Tesla’s vast network of Superchargers, one of North America’s largest public charging systems.
Kia announced in a recent press release that its customers can now use Tesla’s 21,500 Superchargers. This increases the total number of charging stations available to Kia owners to over 40,000.
While many Kia electric models use the CCS1 charging port, the company will provide NACS adapters to connect to Tesla’s Superchargers. Newer models like the 2025 EV6 and 2026 EV9 come with NACS charging ports built-in.
Kia EV owners can easily locate and navigate to available Superchargers via their car’s infotainment screen or through a mobile app. They can also enroll in the Kia Charge Pass program to access the network.
This access was originally set to begin in January 2025 but was delayed until spring. Kia EVs now join vehicles from Ford, GM, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, Hyundai, Lucid, Nissan, and Genesis in using Tesla’s Supercharger network.
Additionally, Kia condemned recent attacks on Tesla’s public charging infrastructure, highlighting how such vandalism complicates the EV ownership experience.
