The 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has expanded its range with the introduction of a new E200 variant, priced at $117,900 before on-road costs.
Sitting below the E300 ($132,000 plus on-road costs) and the flagship AMG E 53 4MATIC+ PHEV ($199,900), the E200 lowers the entry price of the E-Class by $14,100.
Under the hood, the E200 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The powertrain is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and generates 150kW and 320Nm of torque. This is 50kW and 80Nm less than the E300, which shares the same engine. After a two-year absence, the E200 returns with a higher starting price of $13,000 compared to the previous model. However, it offers more standard features, a larger body for added space, and an extra 5kW of power.
The E200 shares many features with the E300, with the key differences being the lack of the MBUX Superscreen and heated and ventilated leather seats. For those preferring a less sporty appearance, the Avantgarde Line exterior design is available again, though the E200 retains the E300’s 20-inch AMG alloy wheels.
