Joyn, the streaming service owned by ProSiebenSat.1, is now available in select Mercedes-Benz vehicles, making it the first commercial German streaming provider to be integrated into the automaker’s in-car entertainment system.
The Joyn app can be accessed in models like the E-Class, CLE, C-Class, GLC, and the new CLA, through the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus. More models will support Joyn in the coming months. Drivers and passengers can enjoy Joyn content while charging, stuck in traffic, or using automated driving features.
Nicole Agudo Berbel, Chief Distribution Officer at ProSiebenSat.1 and Managing Director of Joyn, said, “This partnership is a major milestone for in-car entertainment. We’re thrilled to bring high-quality, free entertainment to Mercedes-Benz customers. By expanding Joyn’s availability, we aim to offer top-notch content anytime and anywhere. It’s truly streaming with a star.”
Mishel Podolskis, Manager of Video-Streaming at Mercedes-Benz, commented, “Teaming up with Joyn is a significant step for us. Joyn appeals strongly to our younger customers in the DACH region. The platform’s offering, including live TV from 70 channels, brings a new dimension to in-car entertainment. Our quick and successful collaboration proves how companies with the right mindset can achieve great results together.”
