Bentley Goes Electric: New Hybrid Powertrain

The most notable change in Bentley’s latest announcement is the introduction of a new hybrid powertrain. This 4.0-liter V8 hybrid will be available across several models, including the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur. The new hybrid engine delivers an impressive 670 horsepower and 685 lb-ft of torque, placing it just below the top-tier Speed model. Despite this, the hybrid powertrain outperforms the previous generation Speed in every performance metric.

In addition to its powerful performance, the new hybrid engine boasts a 0-60 mph time of under 3.5 seconds. It also offers a 53-mile pure-electric range, a remarkable feature for a large luxury grand tourer. These updates highlight Bentley’s commitment to innovation, blending traditional luxury with cutting-edge hybrid technology.
